A PSA Nitrogen Generator is a device based on Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology, designed to extract high-purity nitrogen from compressed air. This technology uses Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) as the adsorbent to selectively adsorb oxygen and other impurities, enabling efficient separation and purification of nitrogen.
The PSA Nitrogen Generator operates with two adsorption towers working alternately. During the adsorption phase, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gas molecules in the compressed air are captured by the carbon molecular sieve, while nitrogen passes through the tower in gaseous form and is collected. The tower then switches to the regeneration phase, where the pressure is reduced to release the adsorbed gases, restoring the adsorbent’s capacity. This alternating cycle ensures continuous and stable nitrogen production.
